The challenge‍

Managing a comprehensive safety, quality and project management system across many large projects was difficult to manage using spreadsheets, email and paper.

No central place for photos: Project updates were done via email, making it difficult to track site progress

Paper-based safety system: Running a comprehensive safety system via paper is very time consuming and prone to error

Complexity of other solutions: Software with complex training requirements is difficult to get engagement from site managers

The solution

‍BuildPass has provided a central hub for photos uploaded as part of site diaries, safety inspections and quality inspections.

Site Diaries: Site managers can easily add a site diary each day from their mobile phone. The weather and site attendance are automatically filled in, and images go into an image gallery for Dom and Jerad to review.The calendar view makes for easy navigation.

Image Gallery:All photos uploaded to BuildPass appear in the Image Gallery. The team have an accurate timeline of the project based on the photos that are uploaded each day.This ensure projects are on track and allows them to get on top of any issues early.

Approved Safety System: Being an ISO accredited builder, it was important for McColl Smith to configure BuildPass to work exactly to their needs.Using the drag-and-drop template editor, they were able to easily configure BuildPass and get up and running in days.
