BuildPass Permits

The Permits module ensures workers have the right qualifications to conduct high-risk works while on-site, helping you reduce the admin required when managing different hazardous building tasks. To get you started, we’ll provide you with all the permit templates you require, helping you seamlessly transition from a paper-based system.

To celebrate the roll-out, all customers can trial the feature for 30-days. If you’re on a Pro or Enterprise plan, chat to our team about how you can enable and utilise this feature right now and well into the future. Clcik the video to see how it works!

What is a permit?

A permit allows Builders to approve high risk activities that workers need to complete during the course of a project. The goal is not to prevent these works, but to ensure each worker understands how to undertake the intended activity safely while giving the Builder visibility of high risk activities happening on site.

Accessing Permits on BuildPass

Permits are available to all customers on the Pro or Enterprise plan. Please chat to a member of our team if you would like to have this enabled on your account. Permit templates can be provided by BuildPass if you need them or our team migrate your existing templates into the module for you.

Permit Templates

Permits comprise of three separate templates

  • Application - the questions a worker will be asked when applying for the permit
  • Enactment - the questions a worker will be asked when they start or stop the permitted work
  • Close Out - the questions a worker will be asked when ending their permit

How do workers use permits

Workers have the option of applying for a permit from within the worker app. Any action you take on the permit will be communicated to the worker via text message to ensure they are kept in the loop.
